NOVI TECH was developed to increase productivity, surface quality and process reliability of boring operations, as well as extending the life expectancy of the tool and spindle of the machining center.
New geometries and coatings increase penetration and improve tool life
Allied Machine & Engineering, a leading manufacturer of holemaking and finishing tooling systems, announces it has purchased Superion, Inc of Xenia, Ohio USA.
The US based Allied Machine & Engineering Corp. acquires the majority of the shares of Wohlhaupter GmbH, a manufacturer of precision boring tools located near Stuttgart in the South of Germany. At the same time Frank-M. Wohlhaupter increases his stocks, remains on board as a managing partner and will be leading the company into the future.
Just recently Wohlhaupter launched the new precision boring tool - VarioBore - into the market. An all-rounder tool, designed for versatile use to help reduce investment costs for a wide range of applications and to guarantee a quick return-on-investment, along with a low cost-per-part. The systematic further development of existing model series means VarioBore can be used for machining diameters of 0.4 mm to 152 mm. What makes it so special: VarioBore is now available with the innovative, external digital display 3ETech, which will also be used in other Wohlhaupter tools.

The precision tool manufacturer Wohlhaupter achieved a turnover of around 20 million euro in 2014, thus lying at the stable level of the previous year. After staff had to be cut as part of restructuring in the last quarter, signs are looking positive for the year 2015. The company is consolidating its position in the market with the new product series "PrimeBore" and the software "Tool Architect." Strategic sales cooperations are laying the foundation for future growth.
Rolf Wohlhaupter-Hermann, Commercial General Manager of the precision tool manufacturer Wohlhaupter, celebrated 50 years with the company on 15 March. In this period of time, the 77-year-old helped build up the family business into a worldwide supplier of modular tool systems.
Wohlhaupter GmbH has presented the new PrimeBore precision boring tool at the AMB international exhibition for metal working in Stuttgart. The tool convinced the experts especially by virtue of its flexibility and compatibility. It sets a new tone in the area of universal Wohlhaupter precision boring tools.
